Anthropology of Salt Lake City, Utah, USA
Salt Lake City, Utah, USA, is a world multicultural center. It is the
best knows for its
Genealogy library - one of the miracles of the
world. However, the multicultural megacity hosts numerous cultural
events during the year and there are interactions between social
groups and different ethnic communities that require a very special
interest because of the unique way of reproduction of the human
culture.
Salt Lake City is a extremely valuable city for the cultural
anthropologists researching the past and the present of the human
culture since many archaic elements can be traced in the
everydayness of the communities of the Salt Lake County, as well
as it is a field of innovative projects and reproduction of the best of
the globalizing world.
Salt Lake City is a place of less observed negative sides of the
human everydayness and an instance of the positive dynamic
reproduction of values keeping the belief that the human civilization
is possibly the best creature in the world.
This website will represent the anthropology of Salt Lake City from
the eyes of a cultural anthropologist, who has been living in the city
since 2001. I will try to document places that I like and events that I
attend as well as will include external links to other websites related
to the topic (
